De nouvelles frappes sur des cibles militaires, maritimes et énergétiques font craindre une crise régionale plus large et accentuent la pression sur l'approvisionnement mondial en pétrole.

Les Gardiens de la révolution iraniens ont déclaré mercredi avoir tiré des missiles balistiques sur une base militaire utilisée par les États-Unis près d'Al Azraq, en Jordanie, et avoir attaqué 10 navires près du détroit d'Ormuz.

La Jordanie a déclaré que sa défense aérienne avait intercepté 18 missiles, tandis que deux ont atterri dans des zones non peuplées. Aucune victime n'a été signalée. Un responsable américain a déclaré que l'attaque était inefficace et que tous les soldats américains étaient sains et saufs.

Ces frappes font suite à une opération américaine qui a détruit cinq pétroliers iraniens mardi. Washington a déclaré que cette action intervenait après des attaques de missiles iraniens contre un navire de guerre de la marine américaine. Aucun Américain n'a été blessé.

L'Iran a également menacé des pétroliers dans les ports koweïtiens et bahreïnis. Une source de sécurité maritime a déclaré qu'un méthanier avait été endommagé au port de Khor Fakkan, aux Émirats arabes unis, bien que la responsabilité de l'attaque ne soit pas claire.

RÉACTION DU MARCHÉ

Les prix du pétrole ont de nouveau grimpé, le Brent frôlant les 100 dollars le baril, alors que les traders surveillent les perturbations autour du détroit d'Ormuz, une route clé pour les expéditions d'énergie mondiales.

Pendant ce temps, les Houthis alliés de l'Iran ont attaqué plusieurs villes saoudiennes, blessant 73 personnes et incendiant des installations pétrolières.

POURQUOI C'EST IMPORTANT

Pour les traders, le détroit d'Ormuz est le principal risque à surveiller. De nouvelles attaques contre des pétroliers ou des infrastructures énergétiques pourraient accentuer les inquiétudes liées à l'approvisionnement et maintenir la volatilité des prix du pétrole.
