El Índice del Dólar Estadounidense (DXY), que sigue al USD frente a una cesta de monedas principales, sigue siendo el indicador más observado en el trading global. Aquí está el porqué:

  • Más del 80% de las operaciones de forex involucran al USD

  • Es la moneda de reserva global

  • La mayoría de las materias primas como el petróleo, el oro y el trigo se cotizan en USD

En otras palabras, si el dólar se mueve, todo lo demás reacciona.

 

¿Qué está impulsando al dólar en 2025?

Este año, el billete verde está atrapado entre dos fuerzas opuestas:

  1. La inflación persistente en EE. UU. y un gasto del consumidor sólido mantienen cauta a la Fed.

  2. El crecimiento más lento del empleo y el debilitamiento de la manufactura aumentan los temores de recesión.

Ese tira y afloja es lo que está creando oportunidades serias para los traders.

Cada vez que la Fed insinúa un recorte de tasas, el dólar cae. Cuando los datos de inflación sorprenden al alza, el dólar repunta. Se ha convertido en el sueño de un trader para volatilidad y configuraciones de tendencia.

EUR/USD: La batalla de los gigantes

En 2025, EUR/USD sigue siendo el par de divisas más operado.

  • El BCE está señalando recortes moderados por delante

  • Mientras tanto, la Fed está en pausa pero sin girar (todavía)

Esta divergencia mantiene a EUR/USD atascado en un rango entre 1.0700 – 1.0950, pero con rupturas explosivas en torno a reuniones del CPI, NFP y FOMC.

  • Una ruptura por encima de 106 podría desencadenar otra ola de fortaleza del USD
