How to Use Multiply Strategy in Social Trading

|

Social Trading

What Is the Multiply Strategy?

The Multiply Strategy allows Auto-Copiers to replicate a Leader’s trade based on a multiplier.

Your copied trade size is calculated by multiplying the Leader’s volume by a value you choose,  called the Volume Multiplier.

How Is It Calculated?

Copied volume = Volume Leader in lot x Volume Multiplier.

The Auto-Copier copies the volume that their Leader has opened and multiplies it by a predefined value in volume multiplier.

How to Set Up the Multiply Strategy

1. Log In to Social Trading

  • Log in to Your Social Trading.

  • Use your email and password to log in.

2. Access the Social Trading Portal

  • In the sidebar, click Social Trading.

  • Select your preferred server (e.g., TradeQuoMT4/MT5).

  • Log in using your trading account ID and master password.

Note: Your trading account must be created under the TradeQuo system.

3. Go to “My Copy Stats”

  • If you haven’t started copying a Leader yet, click “Start Auto-Copy” and choose a Leader from the Leaderboard.

  • If you're already copying one, go to My Copy Stats, find the relevant Leader, and proceed.

4. Configure Your Strategy

  • Under My Portfolio, click Subscription Strategy.

  • Click Edit to customize your settings. Then, please refer to the information below:

  • Volume Scaling: Volume Scaling allows Auto-Copiers choose how to scale their trade sizes based on the Leader’s volume in lot. Select “Multiply” from the options and the system will multiply the trade size.

  • Volume Multiplier: The Volume Multiplier determines how much copied trade is scaled compared to the original trade. Enter a number to adjust the scale.

  • Copy Direction: Choose whether copied trades should follow direct or reverse the original trade direction. If you reverse the direction, a buy becomes a sell and vice versa.

Please refer to example below:

Example 1:

Subscription Strategy settings:

  • Volume scaling: Multiply

  • Volume multiplier: 5

  • Copy Direction: Direct

Given:

  • Auto-Copier’s balance: 1000 USD

  • Leader’s balance: 10 000 USD

  • Leader opens a Buy trade of 1 lot EURUSD

Calculation:

  • Copied volume = Volume Leader in lot x Volume multiplier

  • Copied volume = 1 x 5

  • Copied volume = 5

Result: The Auto-Copier copies the trade as a Buy of 5 lots of EURUSD.

Therefore, you would open a trade of 5 lots of EURUSD on the Buy side when multiplied with 5 from the Leader’s open trade on the same side.

Example 2:

Subscription Strategy settings:

  • Volume scaling: Multiply

  • Volume multiplier: 9

  • Copy Direction: Reverse

Given:

  • Auto-Copier’s balance: 1000 USD

  • Leader’s balance: 10 000 USD

  • The leader opens a Buy trade of 1 lot of EURUSD.

Calculation:

  • Copied volume = Volume Leader in lot x Volume multiplier

  • Copied volume = 1 x 9

  • Copied volume = 9

Result: The Auto-Copier copies the trade as Sell 9 lots of EURUSD.

Therefore, you would open a trade of 9 lots of EURUSD on the Sell side when multiplied with 9 from the Leader’s open trade on the Buy side.

Small Volume Handling:

  • If trades are close to the minimum size, the system automatically rounds them up to the minimum.

  • You can enable the option “Risk by rounding to min lot” to allow copying of very small trades.

Keep in mind this may increase your margin requirement.

Final Step: Save Changes

After setting your strategy, click Save Changes to apply it.
