Le Guardie della Rivoluzione iraniane hanno dichiarato mercoledì di aver lanciato missili balistici contro una base militare utilizzata dagli Stati Uniti vicino ad Al Azraq, in Giordania, e di aver attaccato 10 navi nei pressi dello Stretto di Hormuz.

La Giordania ha riferito che le sue difese aeree hanno intercettato 18 missili, mentre due sono caduti in aree disabitate. Non sono state segnalate vittime. Un funzionario statunitense ha dichiarato che l'attacco è stato inefficace e che tutti i soldati americani sono al sicuro.
