Le pétrole reperd ses gains de guerre alors que l'Iran et Israël s'éloignent du gouffre

Les prix du brut ont reculé après que les deux pays ont signalé un arrêt des attaques, bien que les investisseurs restent prudents quant à la durée de ce calme.

Les prix du pétrole ont baissé mardi, cédant la majeure partie des gains enregistrés la veille, après que l'Iran et Israël ont annoncé l'arrêt des attaques directes suite à un appel du président américain Donald Trump.

Malgré la désescalade, les deux parties ont averti que les actions militaires pourraient reprendre, maintenant les traders en alerte face aux futurs développements.

DÉTAILS CLÉS

Les contrats à terme sur le baril de Brent ont chuté de 1,14 $, soit 1,2 %, à 93,11 $ le baril à 06h30 GMT. Le brut américain West Texas Intermediate (WTI) a baissé de 1,30 $, soit 1,4 %, à 90,00 $ le baril.

Ce repli fait suite à une séance de négociation volatile lundi, au cours de laquelle les prix du pétrole ont bondi de près de 5 % après que de nouvelles frappes israéliennes sur l'Iran et des attaques au Liban ont fait craindre un conflit régional plus large.

Le sentiment du marché s'est amélioré après que les forces armées iraniennes ont annoncé la fin des opérations militaires contre Israël. Cependant, les analystes ont souligné que les investisseurs restent sceptiques quant à la possibilité que cette pause actuelle ne débouche sur une paix durable.

L'Iran a déclaré qu'il pourrait reprendre ses frappes si Israël poursuit ses attaques contre le Hezbollah au Liban, tandis que le Premier ministre israélien Benjamin Netanyahu a prévenu qu'Israël répondrait avec force à toute future agression iranienne.

Pendant ce temps, Washington continue de faire pression sur Téhéran pour rouvrir le détroit d'Hormuz, une voie maritime essentielle qui acheminait environ un cinquième des réserves mondiales de pétrole avant l'escalade du conflit.

RÉACTION DU MARCHÉ

Les marchés de l'énergie ont réagi en annulant une partie de la prime de risque de lundi. Les prix du pétrole ont baissé à mesure que s'apaisaient les craintes de perturbations immédiates de l'approvisionnement.

Le marché dans son ensemble reste sensible à l'actualité au Moyen-Orient, les actions du secteur de l'énergie, les devises liées aux matières premières et les prévisions d'inflation risquant de rester volatiles.
