Une forte baisse des actions technologiques, la hausse des prix du pétrole et l’évolution des attentes en matière de taux d'intérêt ont secoué les marchés mondiaux.

Le puissant rallye boursier alimenté par l'IA a connu des difficultés lundi, les investisseurs s'empressant de verrouiller leurs bénéfices sur certains des plus grands gagnants du marché. Le KOSPI de Corée du Sud, fortement pondéré en fabricants de puces, a chuté de 5 %, prolongeant ses pertes par rapport au record de la semaine dernière et laissant l'indice en baisse de 13 % par rapport à son sommet. Le Nikkei japonais a perdu 3,8 %, tandis que l'indice de référence de Taïwan a reculé de 3,9 %.

Cette vague de ventes fait suite aux prévisions plus faibles que prévu de Broadcom et à un rapport solide sur l'emploi aux États-Unis, qui a renforcé les attentes selon lesquelles la Réserve fédérale pourrait maintenir ses taux élevés plus longtemps, certains traders intégrant même la possibilité d'une hausse des taux plus tard cette année.

Selon les analystes, ce mouvement semble davantage motivé par la réduction de positions encombrées par les investisseurs que par un changement fondamental de confiance envers l'intelligence artificielle.

Par ailleurs, les tensions géopolitiques ont accentué la pression après qu'Israël a signalé des frappes sur des cibles militaires dans l'ouest et le centre de l'Iran. Le baril de Brent a bondi d'environ 3,5 % pour atteindre 96,45 dollars.

RÉACTION DU MARCHÉ

Les contrats à terme sur le Nasdaq ont tenté un modeste rebond après la baisse de 4,2 % de vendredi. Le Bitcoin est resté sous pression à la suite de sa chute hebdomadaire la plus prononcée depuis l'effondrement de FTX, oscillant juste en dessous de 63 000 dollars.

Sur les marchés des changes, le dollar américain s'est maintenu fermement au-dessus de 160 yens, tandis que l'euro s'échangeait près de 1,1531 dollar.
